This season seems like it came and went extremely fast. One day we were rehearsing for The Last 5 Years and then all of a sudden Joseph was closing. I think I learned a lot this summer about management and planning and I hope to utilize that next season and in my other directorial endeavors. Some other highlights of the season has to be working with Kate Hennies. I am so happy she decided to come to the boat and use her talents to bring some great music to Clinton. I hope to have her back at the boat some day or perhaps work with her somewhere else as well. We had all fine actors: Josh, Nicole, Claire, Dale…well everyone. Our staff was also great..I hope to work with Shannan, our PSM, many more times. I think the most rewarding part of the process for the summer was working on Joseph and making something new out of an overdone piece. The process of collaborating with the different departments and creating a way to envision the show was something special. I hope we are able to do more things like that and perhaps make the theatre known for stepping outside of the box or in the least creating good artistic theatre. (there is video of the Joseph process on the video page if you want to take a look at it)
